Retired Area Director, Social Security Administration
Biography
Paul joined the Link House Board in July 2018. He retired after a thirty-nine year career with the Social Security Administration, (SSA) in January 2018, with his last position as Area Director, overseeing the Social Security Offices in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Northern Massachusetts. He moved to Newburyport in 2015 from Eastern Connecticut, where he was manager of the New London, CT Social Security office for many years. As manager of the New London SSA office, Paul was the proud recipient of the Ewell T Bartlett Humanity on Government Award in 2011 for his work with the homeless population in New London, CT. He has served as Board Chairs of the Willimantic, CT United Way and, Eastern Connecticut Community Prevention and Addiction Services.
Paul teaches Spinning at the Newburyport YWCA three days a week, is involved in planning the annual Yankee Homecoming Parade in Newburyport, works at Among Friends serving meals at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Newburyport, and is an avid bicycle rider.
