Mission Statement
The mission of Link House, Inc. is to provide guidance, tools, and support to improve the emotional well-being of the individuals we serve.
Since our founding in 1972 as a residential program for men in recovery from addiction to alcohol, Link House has grown and expanded to meet the needs of the greater Newburyport community. Today, Link House runs four residences for men and women in recovery from substance use disorder as well as two behavioral health outpatient programs, the Center for Behavioral Health for adults and the Children and Teen Center for Help for five- to eighteen-year-olds. As a non-profit health care provider we are proud to have served more than 8,400 individuals, most from low-income households. While substance use disorder remains a significant challenge in our community, we draw strength from the resilience of our clients and are inspired by those who are able to overcome addiction and rebuild their lives with dignity and courage.
We are proud to partner with many community stakeholders, non-profit organizations, government agencies, and treatment providers who all contribute to making greater Newburyport a happier, healthier, and more productive place to live. Generous donations from individuals, corporations, foundations, government agencies, and civic groups help us to meet costs that are not covered by medical insurance reimbursements and enable us to continue to provide services to those most in need.
A full-time executive team and a volunteer board of directors lead the organization.
The mission of Link House, Inc. is to provide guidance, tools, and support to improve the emotional well-being of the individuals we serve.
Our goal each day is to provide compassionate, evidenced-based models of substance use services to our clients and communities with a spirit of honesty, strong moral values and a sense of trustworthiness that occurs throughout all levels of the organization.
We are keenly aware of the importance of this organization to the community and as such, we feel a strong responsibility to prudently and wisely administer and manage all human and financial resources and proactively maintain the properties owned by the organization.
We look forward to building upon our 50 years of operation experience to continually assess the need and opportunity for thoughtful program expansion that compliments the existing level of services while fulfilling the growing needs within our community.
