Patty Durgin

Biography

Patty Durgin joined the Link House Board in the fall of 2024. A registered nurse for 45 years, she recently retired from Massachusetts General Hospital, where she spent the last 22 years of her career—most recently serving as the Senior Manager for Clinical Documentation Integrity.

Patty earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Salem State University and a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. Throughout her career, she has maintained a strong commitment to improving patient outcomes and supporting healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality care.

Patty is deeply aware of the devastating impact of addiction on individuals and families. However, she sees reason for optimism with ongoing research and emerging treatments. She is encouraged by the momentum within the recovery community and is eager to contribute to its progress through her work with Link House.

A resident of Newburyport for 40 years, Patty is also a longtime member of the YWCA and remains active in community service.
