Ilene Harnch-Grady

Ilene Harnch-Grady is a native and life long resident of Newburyport with extensive board experience.

Ilene joined the board in November and serves as the Health and Wellness/Encore Director at the YWCA Greater Newburyport. A wellness professional with 45 years of experience, Ilene holds multiple certifications to support her programs working with seniors and fragile populations.

In her current role, Ilene works closely with the Link House through collaborations providing residents access to wellness programs.

Ilene currently serves on the Newburyport Council of Aging Board of Directors, Anna Jacques Hospital Community Benefits Advisory Council, North of Boston Cancer Resource Advisory Council and the YWCA Greater Newburyport Racial Justice/Development Committees.

Ilene earned her Associates Degree in Business/Paralegal Studes from Northern Essex Community College and her Bachelor of Arts in Communication/Business from the Massachusetts College for Liberal Arts.

Ilene is personally aware of addiction and looks forward to partnering with an anchor organization who set the foundation for residential programs and substance abuse.

In her spare time, Ilene enjoys spending time with her family and two rescue dogs, and volunteering with rescue horses.
