Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Link House, Inc. is a private non-profit human service organization dedicated to serving the North East Region of Massachusetts. Founded in 1972, we have evolved from a recovery home for men struggling with alcohol addiction into a comprehensive service provider for both men and women seeking recovery and behavioral health outpatient services.

We are seeking a part-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for Link House Inc.’s behavioral health outpatient clinic.

Responsibilities

• Completion of intake and assessments to determine appropriate level of care and outpatient medication management services for mental health or substance use treatment
• Prescribing medication services in accordance with clinic policies and procedures, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS), Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine, Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS), and the Department of Public Health (DPH)
• Collaboration with collaterals, family, and other community supports as indicated by patient’s individual treatment plans
• Work collaboratively with the Assistant to the NP for scheduling patient follow ups, medication refills, and discharge/transition planning
• Harm reduction and recovery/safety planning as needed
• Referrals to outside resources/services
• Participation in multi-disciplinary team meetings
• Attend meetings as assigned by the Director of Outpatient Services
• Any other duties assigned by management

Requirements

• An APRN degree in related field with license (PMHNP or FMHNP)
• Knowledge of insurance billing
• Experience working with individuals diagnosed with Psychiatric Conditions, substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders required
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and writing skills
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records
• Current licenses and certifications need to be current, and valid. Includes DEA registration, and Psychiatric Mental health NP Certification
