The Front Desk Coordinator has a key role in the daily functioning of the Outpatient Clinic and demonstrates excellent organization and communication skills and works independently while providing polite and professional assistance to clients and clinicians by phone, mail, email, and in-person.  The Front Desk Coordinator is expected to have the ability to multi-task while providing a welcoming, positive and helpful presence in the clinic.

The Front Desk Coordinator will be responsible for:

Day to day duties with managerial support will include the following:

  • Act as a liaison between clients and staff
  • Schedule appointments
  • Greet clients and visitors when they arrive
  • Making sure general patient information, insurance information and related paperwork is up to date
  • Collect payment and deductibles at check-in
  • Coordinate with the Program Manager to assist with billing and insurance
  • Provide general support to clinicians and medical staff, including faxing, emailing, calling clients, and collaterals
  • Answering phones and triaging calls
  • Coordinating the scheduling of conference room and training room bookings


  • Communicates with supervisor while showing initiative
  • Works independently
  • Works a flexible schedule in coordination with the Program Manager
  • Has a desire to create a positive work environment
  • Is organized, detail oriented and has multi-task capability
  • Responsible, dependable and patient
  • Possesses excellent computer skills with experience in using an electronic health record
  • Experience in working in a mental health/addiction treatment environment is preferred

Training and supervision will be provided to this position by the Program Manager.
