Link House, Inc. (LHI) is responding to our community needs and the increasing mental health crisis around children and adolescents, LHI is opening an outpatient behavioral health clinic for children and adolescents in Amesbury MA.

Prior to the projected opening in the summer of 2022, we are accepting resumes to build a team of professionals for this new and exciting venture in the seacoast region. This is an opportunity to be part of developing and growing a new program and we are looking for skilled, motivated, flexible and fun professionals.

Description

The Clinical Supervisor directs and manages an effective clinical service delivery team using applicable principles of Social Work and/or Counseling which include – patient psychosocial assessment, group and individual psychotherapy, family intervention, patient/family education and treatment planning.  The candidate must have addiction counseling certification in good standing, or an appropriate license. This is full-time position and will require 32 – 40 hours /week commitment.  Candidate must be able to work early morning hours and available to work some weekends.  Additionally, candidates must be able to pass a background check and drug screening. 

Responsibilities

  • Supports evaluation of program services to enhance patient outcomes and acts as a positive change agent to implement clinical initiatives to increase quality patient care
  • Conducts assessment of each patient’s psychosocial status and functioning in an effort to document history and identify preliminary items for the treatment plan
  • Facilitates the overall development and implementation of a comprehensive, individualized plan of treatment in conjunction with other treatment team members
  • Incorporates the patient’s psychosocial functioning and strengths in the plan of care
  • Formulates a treatment plan with the client, using knowledge of behavioral health risk factors and counseling and treatment techniques
  • Provides and/or arranges for therapeutic interventions as appropriate for patients or clients in a crisis situation
  • Follows up to determine reliability and validity of treatment used; makes recommendations regarding modification to services and service delivery
  • Refers client to other support services as needed, such as medical evaluation and treatment, social services, and employment services
  • Prepares and maintains reports and case histories
  • Participates in the review of clinical issues and program policies and procedures
  • Consults with other therapists and related professional and paraprofessional staff, as appropriate, in the performance of therapeutic and/or casework; refers clients to appropriate service agencies as required
  • Attends staff meetings and team conferences; leads team meetings as required
  • Participates in, leads, and/or coordinates training sessions and workshops to enhance treatment skills
  • Maintains current knowledge base on counseling issues regarding behavioral health and other psychosocial disorders through conferences, educational requirements for licensure, and applicable current literature
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Positive attitude and open approach to patients, staff and visitors
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health with children and adolescents
  • Experience and ability to work with electronic medical records is required
  • Must pass criminal background check and drug screening

Education Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or a related field
  • Approval to supervise by the Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists.
