Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager reports directly to the Executive Director.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deep understanding of Accounting Principles and not-for-profit accounting
  • Advanced Knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
  • Manage Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables including billing
  • Processing vendor invoices for payments, issuing payments
  • Preparing invoices for revenue recognition.
  • Posting cash receipts
  • Prepare payments, checks and deposits
  • Ability to maintain multiple programs/revenue streams within one Accounting Program
  • Reconcile ledgers, bank statements, inventory control and accounting records monthly
  • Experience with the Virtual Gateway EIM System (Comm of Mass) (will train)
  • Monthly residential insurance billing
  • Compute and record numerical data
  • Perform data entry and administrative duties
  • Compiling year end information for external Accountant
  • Preparing and analyzing financial statements for users at multiple levels (management and board members)
  • Preparing and posting journal entries
  • Cash flow projections
  • Coordinating with Executive Director
  • Business Insurance renewals

Job Requirements:

  • Able to work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and writing skills
  • Empathy and compassion for callers, patients, and their families
  • Previous experience in accounting or bookkeeping – 5 years preferred
  • Be a pro with QuickBooks, Excel, and Word
  • Experience working with Financial Statements
  • Ability to Work with Multiple Programs/Employees
  • Check the accuracy of business transactions
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment screen (CORI background check) and pre-employment drug screen
