On November 1, Link House, Inc. hosted a training entitled “Understanding Trauma-Informed Care: Practices, Theory and Client-Centered Care” given by Nicole LeBlanc, MSW, LICSW, a Trauma Integration Specialist at the Institute for Health and Recovery in Cambridge. Many local non-profit agencies were in attendance. The training included information on trauma and substance use, the impact of trauma on the brain, trauma reactions, trauma and relationships, trauma and parenting, inadvertent re-traumatization, secondary trauma, compassion fatigue/vicarious trauma, and self regulation/self-care.

Hiking the Appalachian Trail to Fight Addiction – proceeds to benefit Link House, Inc.
On April 2, 2018, Liz Kidder will be taking off to start her journey on the Appalachian Trail! She will attempt to hike the 2,190 miles from Georgia to Maine in about six months. Her mission while doing this is to raise awareness and donations for substance abuse and addiction. 100% of donations will go directly to THE LINK HOUSE to help people in our own community with their recoveries.
