The Elms of AmesburyThe Elms provides a safe, sober, supportive and therapeutic environment, which empowers men in their recovery. The ultimate goal is to help them transition into independent living while remaining abstinent from drugs and alcohol.

The residents contract around a range of issues from specific rules of conduct and behavior to taking on chores in the house. The first ninety days is a trial period, during which time, the staff and resident will determine whether this is the most appropriate placement.

The residents are self supporting by paying a monthly rent subsidized by Section 8 and are responsible for supplying their own food and toiletries. Each resident is accountable for their own recovery aided by the requirements of residency.

The Elms of Amesbury is located at 53 Friend Street, Amesbury, MA 01913.
